Course Introduction

In business banquets, formal dinners, social gatherings, and various occasions, we often need to use Chinese/Western table etiquette. Table etiquette not only reflect a person's cultivation and cultural literacy but also have a profound impact on personal and professional image. Although modern society has become more open and inclusive, the basic principles of Chinese/Western table etiquette are still important. It is not only about how to use tableware but also about how to build good interpersonal relationships with others, showing respect and courtesy.

In this workshop, participants can deepen their understanding and practice of Chinese/Western table etiquette, mastering the basic principles of table etiquette. Whether attending business meetings, having dinner with clients, or participating in social gatherings, they can confidently present themselves in various situations, connect with people, and demonstrate respect and care. Table etiquette are not only about culture but also a valuable opportunity to boost confidence and social skills and establish good communication.

Course Content

• Understanding the importance of etiquette, enhancing self-cultivation, and confidence.
• Preparing for the meal — Top rule and 3P rule.
• Learning dress etiquette (Dress code) to make a good first impression.
• Seating arrangements — Principles and key points for host and guest seating.
• Understanding table topics and taboos (such as tone of speech, tone, 5 levels of conversation, opening topics, etc.).
• BMW rule — Placement and usage of basic tableware and napkins.
• Learning the essentials of elegant dining, such as handling different foods, the hidden meaning of tableware placement, soup and bread etiquette, etc.
• Understanding the ten "don'ts" of eating.

Workshop Format The course is delivered in a relaxed manner, featuring interesting examples and shared experiences, complemented by interactive games, practice demonstrations, and group discussions.
